is Brodart?
The Brodart Company has three divisions: for book and
ephemera supplies, for library furniture, and for book
distribution/processing to libraries and schools.
The Brodart Bookstore & Resellers Division has been
manufacturing and supplying products for books and ephemera
to libraries, schools, bookstores and the public for
65 years with distribution internationally.
Arthur Brody, the founder of Brodart Co., invented the
plastic book jacket cover,
which is still a bestseller.
The main offices and factories are in northern Pennsylvania,
as is their customer support staff.
What products are most popular?
Brodart makes or distributes about 37,000 products,
the most popular for book stores and consumers being
the book jacket covers, the rolls of Mylar (for books
without dust jackets), and other products that protect,
clean, repair and store books. Brodart display products
(book supports, acrylic displayers, bookcarts) are
frequently used in bookstores nationwide.

How Can
I use Brodart Products in my store?
You can use them to maintain the value of your book
inventory, and to resell them to your customers.
More and more stores are putting book jacket covers
on their expensive books to minimize damage, and to
insure that if the books have to be returned, the
publisher will accept them.
You can also sell items like book jacket covers individually.
Many bookstores are charging $1-$1.50 for a cover,
either on the book or as a separate item.
For books with no dust jackets, they have a roll of
Mylar they quickly cut to size and charge anywhere
from $2-$4 for this service.
Why would
