Highland Invisible tape is the best tape to repair books with. The 1/2 inch is ideal. I repair books for my school and local library and this tape is the best. The matte finish makes it invisible and much better than a shiny tape. Book tape does not crack or yellow with age. Repairing books with any regular tape is not a good idea.
